Adventure's Of Linda
"At the age of 4, Linda’s mother took her to visit her grandparents, Cecil and Muriel Gill in Belize. Granny, instantly fell in love with her smile and bestowed the nickname “Linda Pelinda”. Linda’s face would light up at the sound of hearing Linda Pelinda, as it brought memories of her grandmother’s voice. Their special bond together would cast an influence throughout Linda’s life from cooking, music, hosting the traditional Belizean Easter Hat contests, and her grandmother’s favorite color “Purple”. Linda’s mother recalls how neat and organized she was, which led to designing and decorating for family and friends."
"After my stroke a year ago, Linda became my guardian angel. She organized my bedroom, went on walks and did everything that needed to be done. Linda gave me a beautiful flower arrangement to make me happy. She was very loving and caring. Thank you Linda for helping me along."
We always Love you, Aunt Dorla
"Linda had self-discipline, sense of organization, and a zest for life. Her integrity, love of family and family support, were priority of her life. She was a great role model for her cousins, great cook, caretaker, dog lover and a model human being. Proverbs 31, is the type of wife she personified, and virtuous woman. Her cousins knew not to perform anything illegal or immoral in her presence. We celebrate Linda‘s life with pride, joy, and honor. We thank God for her presence in our lives, and the love we shared, it was a privilege to be her aunt." With all my Love, Aunt Janice

"Linda lived with my husband Marvin and I, during her high school years. She was one of the most respectful teenagers, you could ever meet. They say there’s no perfect teenager but I believe she was. Linda listened, behaved properly and was always on time. Linda always kept her word and took pride in her school work. She was a great person and was always helpful around the house, especially with with my children, she was their first babysitter. Uncle Marvin and Linda had a special father and daughter relationship. Linda’s hands created wonderful work throughout our home. I didn’t have to tell her how, I wanted it, she had a vision and created it perfectly. There is a special plant at the entrance of my home in a wheel barrel from Linda that I see everyday and smile.
I will always remember Linda as my interior decorator." Love Always Aunt Vincent
"I have so many wonderful memories of Linda, but I'm going to share two with you. My nickname for Linda was gadget queen. I remember one day the handle on my cabinet door came loose, I was about to get a screwdriver however before I could Linda whipped a gadget with a screwdriver, knife and other tools from her purse and fixed the knob. She would have things you would find at a specialty store. Another story was when she made a necklace for my grand daughter Zahria for her graduation with dollar bills that she turned into butterflies. Months later while visiting my grand daughter Zahria told her how she loved the necklace and she still had the necklace. Linda said you do and smiled. I will never forget that smile." Helen Hebert
"One of my most favorite collective memories of Linda is that each year of Al and Linda would host their famous Easter Parties. If you never had the pleasure of attending to see the diaper head hat, shower cap man hat, pizza box hat, Easter Bunny hat, and the famous BBQ Pit hat (with edible smoking hot burgers from the grill), then let me tell you, that you missed out on the best celebration of family and friends. Linda would plan and prep a year in advance making decorations different each year. But let it be known, Linda had a list of projects for Al to have complete before the big event. The colors were vibrant, and she would decorate the backyard so beautiful, setting up tables making room for friends and family that popped. Each year Linda would get more and more creative from the judge’s hats, prizes to trophies, and of course our MCs, Mr. & Mrs. Hebert matching unique hats of their own designed by Linda of course…"
"The event truly began once it was time for the hat parade contest. Which is where the “hat battles” began. Who was going to bring the badest hat to throw down! Linda and Al would MC introducing the styles, providing communicating remarks that would have everyone busting a gut on the floor. It became so popular that the kids wanted a part of the action. So naturally Linda created a special parade for the kids and of course Linda provided prizes for all the kids, so no one was left out. This tradition went on for years and grew larger than the previous. There was so much love and laughter. I will always hold her creativeness and smile dear to my heart. Thank you for loving my brother and nephew as much as we all loved you. Loving Linda for Ever!"
